Women’s Day Experience: A Powerful Gathering of Community, Healing, and Impact

In honor of Women’s History Month, BecomingHER Through Hurt hosted its 2nd Annual Women’s Day Experience, a purpose driven event designed to bring women together in a space of healing, connection, and empowerment.

This was more than an event. It was a moment.

With over 100 women in attendance, the room was filled with strength, resilience, and a shared desire to grow, heal, and be poured into. From the moment guests walked in, they were welcomed into an atmosphere intentionally created to feel safe, uplifting, and impactful.

The experience included over 20 resource and giveaway tables, along with free music, food, and raffles provided throughout the event. Women had access to valuable community resources, services, and support, while also being able to enjoy an environment that felt both empowering and refreshing.

In partnership with the Chicago Police Department 5th District Community Policing Team, the event also emphasized the importance of community collaboration and making resources accessible to women and families.

Throughout the event, women were not only able to receive, but also connect, reflect, and build meaningful relationships. Many left with new opportunities, new connections, and a renewed sense of purpose.

What made this experience truly powerful was not just what was given, but what was poured into every woman in the room.

This event continues to reflect the mission of Becoming HER Through Hurt, creating spaces where women can come as they are, be supported through life’s challenges, and leave feeling stronger, seen, and inspired.

The success of this event was a true example of what happens when community, purpose, and intention come together.
